Always Be My Maybe tells of two childhood friends, Marcus and Sasha, who never met after their brief romance ended badly. This romantic comedy is written by Ali Wong, Randall Park, and Michael Golamco. While the director’s position is filled by Nahnatchka Khan.

What’s interesting about this film is the presence of Keanu Reeves who plays as himself. The story is that he is dating Sasha. When Sasha returned to Francisco to open a restaurant, the feelings between Marcus and Sasha began to grow again, but Reeves’ presence succeeded in making Marcus feel inferior. Always Be My Maybe was released in theaters on May 29, 2019, and digitally on Netflix on May 31, 2019.

Synopsis

Sasha Tran is an immigrant girl from Vietnam who lives in San Francisco. He has a friend named Marcus Kim. Sasha’s busy guarding the store often left her alone at home. Judy, Mrs. Marcus who is originally from Korea always picks up Sasha for dinner. Sasha and Judy’s closeness made them close to each other. Judy often teaches Sasha to cook Korean food.

When Judy died, Marcus experienced deep sorrow. This makes him and Sasha in touch and fall in love. 16 years have passed, Sasha has become a famous celebrity chef. Sasha’s love life is relatively complicated because it failed to get married.
