A house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death. The Grudge film is an upcoming new American film with a supernatural genre of horror psychology that is planned to be released in 2020.

This film is a reboot of the same film title that was released in 2004. That is the old version that was once directed by Takashi Shimizu which is the American version and the remake of the Japanese horror film titled Ju-on: The Grudge.

The film also released its sequel, The Grudge 2, which was released in 2006 and the film The Grudge 3, which was released in 2009. Actress Andrea Riseborough who will portray the main protagonist will play a detective who is also a single mother. The film also stars other top actors and actresses such as John Co, Lin Shaye, Betty Gilpin, Demian Bichir, Frankie Faison, William Sadler, Jacki Weaver, and many others.

The latest version of The Grudge will be directed by Nicolas Pesce and also producer Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert who have been successful in the film The Evil Dead which was released in 1981. The film, which was taken from May to finish on June 2018, is planned to be released on January 3, 2020. Previously, the film was originally planned to be released on August 16, 2019, and then postponed until 2020.
