Synopsis Kingdom

This drama tells the story of the crown prince of the Joseon dynasty, Lee Chang (Joo Ji Hoon) who was accused of treason in a play of political power after the king contracted a deadly epidemic disease and turned into a zombie in the process of treatment.

The crown prince who is suspicious of the health of his father who is covered by the queen (Kim Hye Jun) and royal minister Jo Hak Jo (Ryoo Seung Ryeong), tries to go to the outskirts of the country to find a famous doctor who holds the key to the mystery of the king’s illness and tries to dispel accusations of treason against him accompanied by him his personal bodyguard Moo Young (Kim Sang-Ho).

There, Lee was confronted with victims of an epidemic that had turned into zombies. During the trip, he had to face death by being chased by zombies and also royal guards who tried to capture him. He is also assisted by a doctor named Seo Bi (Bae Doo Na) as the first person to meet with zombies in the clinic where he works with Young Shin (Kim Sung Kyu).
